Venice Sportfishing

TRIP TIPS

  • Food

We can cook all your meals for you. Let us make some of our traditional meals for you like gumbo or a shrimp and crawfish boil. Or you can cook your own. We can buy your groceries for you and deliver them to you on your arrival day. Or you can choose some combination of both. Reach out to Connie to work out the details.

  • What to pack

For clothes, think layers. It can be chilly in the morning and toward the end of the day, but it can get hot while you’re actually fishing. A rain jacket is essential year-round on the boat while traveling to the fishing grounds or between spots.

Remember that the sun can be especially brutal when you’re on the water. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, face masks, etc. are all recommended. No need to overpack. Cypress House provides a washer and dryer, laundry detergent, and all towels and linens.

  • Gear

We have everything you’ll need, but feel free to bring your own. Check our Gear Section for recommendations.

  • Pick the best season to fish

Different fish have different seasons and peak times. Please review our Calendar page section or Contact Us with questions.
